Alfred University Summer Programs

Alfred University welcomes pre-high school students to campus each summer to take part in many exciting programs covering the following subjects:  Equestrian, Theater, Swimming, Engineering, Astronomy, Art Portfolio Prep, Chemistry, Computer and Creative Writing.

 

Barnard College Summer in New York City

The Barnard College Summer in New York City program offers young men and women a unique opportunity to sample pre-college courses at one of the nation's premiere colleges while exploring New York City both in and out of the classroom.

 

Boston University PROMYS Summer Program

PROMYS is a six-week summer program at Boston University designed to encourage motivated high school students to explore the creative world of mathematics in a supportive community of peers, counselors, research mathematicians, and visiting scientists.

Clarkson Young Scholars

The Clarkson School, a division of Clarkson University, will once again offer the Young Scholars Program is for motivated and talented students who will be high school sophomores, juniors, seniors or first year college students in fall. Consistent with Clarkson's overall focus on interdisciplinary education, you will be given a problem to examine and solve from multiple perspectives including technical feasibility, the implications of health care and larger social implications. Students will work with faculty from a number of disciplines including engineering, business, applied math and education.

 

Cleveland Institute of Art's Pre-College Programs

Cornell University Summer College

Students can attend Cornell University Summer College for three or six weeks, earn an average of three to six credits, and concentrate on college courses and careers in fourteen different subject areas.

 

D'Youville College ReBoot Camp

This is an introductory based IT camp but with a competitive edge, which means participants do not need to be well-versed in IT but having some knowledge will work to your advantage. This camp will be hands-on and includes a free t-shirt and swag bag for each participant.  Snacks and drinks will also be provided.

 

Emory University Pre-College Programs

The Emory Pre-College Program is a summer academic program for high school students. It gives college-bound rising juniors and rising seniors an exciting glimpse of academic and residential life at a top-ranked national university.

 

Exeter Summer School

Over 100 courses are offered in art, computer studies, drama and dance, English and writing skills, English for non-native speakers, history and social sciences, foreign languages, mathematics, music, psychology, and science. Courses are for enrichment and are not intended to be taken for high school credit.

NYSSCPA Career Opportunities in the Accounting Profession

The New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) and the Moynihan Scholarship Fund (MSF), sponsor the Career Opportunities in the Accounting Profession (COAP) program on college campuses across the state. Approximately 250 students are accepted into the program each year. The program is free to students.  Rochester Institute of Technology is a host campus.

 

NYU Precollege

NYU Precollege offers rising high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to experience academic and student life at New York University. Students take college level courses for academic credit which may be applied to a future degree.

 

OTIS Summer of Art

OTIS Summer of Art is an intensive, four-week, pre-college program for those 15 and older who wish to study at one of the top art and design colleges in the country.

Rensselaer PREFACE Program

The Rensselaer PREFACE Program is a two-week residential summer experience for talented high school sophomores and juniors, who will enter 11th or 12th grade in the fall of the coming year and who have expressed a strong, early interest in pursuing a career in the engineering and technological professions. Youth Leadership Erie County

Youth Leadership Erie County is a 9 month enrichment program that begins July.  The program seeks a diverse group of students who have leadership potential, but have not had experience in positions of leadership at their schools or in community volunteer work.
